Welcome to GuestList. These Terms govern your use of the GuestList platform — our website and apps — to discover, book, host, and attend hyper-local events in India. By using GuestList, you agree to these Terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or booking an event, you confirm you are at least 18 years old (or attending an all-ages event with a guardian) and capable of entering a binding agreement under Indian law. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Your account
You register using a phone number verified by one-time password (OTP); email is optional. You are responsible for keeping your number and device secure and for activity under your account. One person, one account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a safety risk.
2.1 Accurate details
You agree to provide true, current information for yourself and for any additional guests ("+1s") you add when booking.
3. Bookings & +1s
GuestList is a platform connecting guests with independent hosts. When you book, you enter an arrangement directly with the host. You agree that:
- You must provide a name and contact number for every attendee, including each +1. Bookings cannot exceed the host's remaining capacity.
- Some events require host approval before your place — and any charge — is final.
- You are responsible for the conduct of guests you bring.
- Hosts may set house rules (dress, age, dietary requirements); these appear on the event page.
4. Payments & refunds
Paid events are priced in Indian Rupees (₹) and processed through Razorpay. For host-approved events, payment is captured only once the host accepts. Refunds for cancellations follow the policy displayed at booking and our Cancellation & Refund Policy . Platform fees, where shown, are non-refundable unless required by law.
5. Conduct & safety
You agree to treat hosts and fellow guests with respect, follow venue and host instructions, and not use GuestList for unlawful, harmful, harassing, or fraudulent activity. We may remove content, cancel bookings, or suspend accounts to protect the community. Report concerns through event chat or contact support.
6. Location & privacy
To protect hosts and guests, exact event addresses may be hidden until shortly before the event (typically six hours before start for confirmed guests). You agree not to publish or share a revealed address outside the event. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Limitation of liability
GuestList provides the platform "as is". Codemint Labs is not the organiser of events listed by hosts and is not liable for the acts or omissions of hosts or guests, the quality or safety of any event, or losses arising from attendance, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in India.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. We will post the new version here with an updated date and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
